Mionix AVIOR AIR CARBON FIBER

Mionix AVIOR AIR CARBON FIBER

Mionix today announces Avior Air Carbon Fiber, a limited-edition wireless gaming mouse and the first wireless gaming mouse from Mionix. Developed over more than two years, Avior Air Carbon Fiber marks the comeback of Mionix with a completely new Avior body, handmade carbon fiber shell, and a new wireless platform built around Nordic Semiconductor's nRF54H20 chipset.

Designed as a flagship ultralight wireless FPS mouse, Avior Air Carbon Fiber introduces a new rear-placed hump, back-loaded body shape optimized for claw, fingertip, and hybrid grip players. The new body replaces the previous Avior design, moving away from its balanced-placed hump profile to create a more specialized shape for FPS gamers who want precision, control, and fast repositioning.

Avior Air Carbon Fiber will be available for pre-order from 5 May 2026, with delivery scheduled for early August 2026.

The first production batch is limited to 5,000 units, with 1,000 units already allocated to specialist gaming retailer MaxGaming. The limited batch size is based on Mionix's handmade carbon fiber shell production capacity, which is approximately 2,000 carbon shells per month. A second production batch of 5,000 units is planned for production in October 2026.

"Avior Air Carbon Fiber represents the Mionix comeback. We wanted our first wireless gaming mouse to be more than an update. It is a completely new System-OnChip platform and a new body design in a new super lightweight material, and a limitededition product built. We wanted to make something special for FPS players who care about shape, weight, materials, and wireless performance." said Peter Nygren, Ceo and Founder of Mionix.

A completely new Avior body
Avior Air Carbon Fiber introduces a new Avior body design that will replace the previous Avior shape. The earlier Avior design used a balanced-placed hump profile. The new Avior body uses a rear-placed hump, also described as a back-loaded design, to better support claw, fingertip, and hybrid grip styles.

This new geometry is intended to give FPS players more control during fast aim adjustments, micro-corrections, and repeated lift-off movements. The mouse also features separated left and right primary buttons, each using individual carbon fiber panels. This construction is designed to improve button feel, consistency, and click separation.

Handmade carbon fiber shell
Each Avior Air Carbon Fiber shell is made from handmade woven carbon fiber that is heat-formed and CNC-trimmed. The result is a lightweight, rigid, and distinctive body construction designed to reduce weight while maintaining structural feel and durability. At 42 g ±2 g with PTFE dot feet, Avior Air Carbon Fiber is positioned as a flagship ultralight wireless FPS mouse.

The mouse is supplied with both PTFE dot feet and fullsize tempered glass skates. Overall weight may vary depending on the installed feet configuration. The design removes lighting to focus on performance, weight, and battery life.

Mionix's first wireless gaming mouse
Avior Air Carbon Fiber is the first wireless gaming mouse from Mionix and the first Mionix gaming mouse specifically targeted at the FPS audience. The platform has been developed for more than two years, with a focus on perfecting the carbon fiber body, balancing the lightweight design, and building a completely new wireless foundation for future Mionix mice.

At the center of the mouse is Nordic Semiconductor's nRF54H20 platform. The nRF54H20 chipset is used both inside the mouse and in the dedicated Rf dongle, enabling native 8K wireless operation. Avior Air Carbon Fiber supports polling rates from 125 Hz to 8000 Hz, with a maximum response time of 0.125 ms at 8K.

Built for FPS performance
Avior Air Carbon Fiber uses the PixArt PAW3950 IR optical sensor, supporting up to 30,000 DPI, 750 Ips tracking speed, 50G acceleration, and glass tracking. Lift-off distance is adjustable through Mionix Web Software.

Primary clicks use Raesha optical-mechanical hybrid microswitches, rated for 100 million clicks, paired with a Raesha optical-mechanical hybrid encoder. The mouse includes Mionix's Dual Glide System, with both 100% pure virgin PTFE dot feet and full-size tempered glass skates included in the box. The feet are user replaceable.

Mionix Galaxy Software
Avior Air Carbon Fiber is supported by Mionix Galaxy Web Software, providing control over DPI, polling rate, button programming, macros, profile management, lift-off distance, debounce settings, firmware updates, and onboard memory.

The software also includes S.Q.A.T. - Surface Quality Analyzer Tool, designed for surface analysis, sensor calibration, tracking optimization, and lift-oƯ tuning.
